God of War 3

By: Negi

IT FINALLY CAME OUT!!!!!!!!! *does the happy dance* As soon as my work day ended I was on the first train to the store as physically possible, stood in line for two hours, behind some of the biggest nerds I've ever met. (and that's saying something), but onto the review of the game I've been practically aching for the past year about.God-of-War-3-cover

If you've ever played as Kratos in the past, you will always realize that he's one of the most gorey, violent, blood thirsty stone-hearted killers ever to hit playstation of any kind. but in GOW3 it shows that he actually has a conscience as he runs into the key to the Pandoras Box (YES you have to get the fucking box again!!!) who reminds him of his daughter he accidently killed.

As the war of Kratos/Titans vs. Greek Gods starts out, they start with the invasion on MT. Olympus, ending quickly with the death of a god (which is funny, seeing as you had the power to take out one in the previous games, but now dropping them like a damn sniper in one of those FPS games I despise so much...) and the descent into the underworld...AGAIN!!! He dies so many times in the games that he should have a fucking map of the place by now, but of course he gets his powers stripped from him once more and given new blades (that have no real difference from the others!!!

The combat is new with the fact of instead of the usual grabbing of the enemy, you now get to plunge your blade into them and ramming your shoulder deep into their chest that they should've died from heart failure or picking them up and running around with them as your own battering ram. Otherwise you get not just a few new weapons as well, nope, you get 3 completely new ones...with the same FUCKING PRINCIPLES!!! (more blades on a damn chain!!!! One of themgod_of_war_32 is enough I think, but then you get a large pair of boxing gloves as well that you pull out of Hercules's hands before LITERALLY beating his face in with them)

In this game he meets the key, which is Hephestas's daughter, who reminds him a lot of his little girl, and trying to prove that Kratos has a nice side...while carrying around the head of Helios as his own personnal fucking flashlight. As for the graphics, they did a very good job on this, taking every possible advantage of the PS3's capabilities, from the blades piercing the chest of an enemy, to blood of the enemy on his boy and armor, to the organs laying on the ground of the squirming enemy that you decapitated.

I believe the major reason to play this game really is the major boss battles. I can't believe I'm saying this...but I'm dissappointed in the making of this game. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's better than playing the other 3 games over and over again...but it's one least liked by me now. I'll stop before I make everyone reading this (which isn't a lot according to the rates this review gets on the site) that wants to buy this game cry...but I give this game a A-, mostly due to new people to kill, better graphics, and the fact that I waited so long for this game, I can't stand myself if I gave this game too bad of a review.
