Donuts don't wear alligator shoes...
Starring Michael Jai White, Black Dynamite is a throwback to the seventies black exploitation films that were ever so popular at driveins. Complete with bad acting, bad hair, bad filming and zooming. This film was fanfuckingtastic, Can you dig it? Personally, ive always been a fan of Dolemite and Black Belt Jones and the like from the seventies. So watching Black Dynamite, i can't help but feel nostalgic. Set back in the seventies, Black Dynamite is on the trail of the mob boss, Mr. Big, after his brother was killed while undercover for the CIA. What ensues is pure fun, i couldnt stop laughing while watching this film. Microphones that fall in the top of the screen, horrible acting. Great lines.
"We can't have you running through the streets causing a river of blood Black Dynamite!"
"Ok, just tell me who killed my brother, and I'll only create a little puddle."
Full on mini montages, actual martial art fighting. A great cast, a great soundtrack, and wonderfully done bad acting by Michael Jai White. I am quite impressed with this little gem
9 out of 10.
